Kodo millet is easy to digest, it contains a high amount of lecithin and is excellent for strengthening the nervous system. Kodo millets are rich in B vitamins, especially niacin, B6 and folic acid, as well as the minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and zinc.Kodo millets contain no gluten and is good for people who are gluten intolerant. Kodo millet is now served in form of vermicelli for making a easy, healthy and quick breakfast. Method 1 : Sprinkle salt water in required amount of vermicelli and mix well. steam in idly pan for 5 mins and then cook with chopped onion and chillies. Method 2 : Add little oil in kadai, splutter mustard seeds and add chopped onion and chilly and stir for 5 min, add vermicelli and sprinkle salt water to wet well the vermicelli and close with lid and cook for 10 min untill it gets soften and serve hot.
NOTE : All types of vermicelli needs minimum of 10% wheat to make it to a vermicelli form…..
